Terms of Service

These are the rules for using DesignPass. We've written them in plain English because that's more useful than dense legalese.

What DesignPass is

DesignPass is a paid membership that gives you access to weekly live sessions and a growing library of session recordings. Sessions are led by designers who are actively building AI products. The service is designed to help product and UX designers stay current as AI reshapes how products are built.

By purchasing a membership or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or use a DesignPass membership. By signing up, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you're purchasing on behalf of a company or team, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.

Subscription and billing

DesignPass memberships are sold as annual subscriptions. Your membership renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. Billing is handled through Stripe, and by subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals you keep access through the end of your current paid period. We don't prorate or refund partial periods except as described in our Refund Policy.

Prices may change from time to time. If we increase the price of your subscription, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal date.

Acceptable use

Your DesignPass membership is for your personal use. You may not share your account credentials with others, and you may not allow anyone else to access sessions or content through your account. Team plans are available for groups if you want multiple people to have access, please purchase a team plan rather than sharing a single account.

You may not record, redistribute, re-upload, or resell session content. You may not use session content for commercial purposes without our written permission. Taking notes, sharing key takeaways with your team, and referencing ideas from sessions in your work is completely fine that's the whole point.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Intellectual property

All session content recordings, slides, materials, and the DesignPass website is owned by DesignPass. Your membership gives you a personal, non-transferable license to access and watch this content for as long as your subscription is active. You don't own the content, and your license ends when your membership ends.

Session leaders retain ownership of their own ideas and original work. When they share with DesignPass, they grant us a license to distribute that content to members.

Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you're not happy with DesignPass for any reason, email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. After 14 days, subscriptions are non-refundable for the current billing period. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Termination

You can cancel your membership at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or use the service in a way that harms other members or DesignPass. If we terminate your account for a ToS violation, you won't be entitled to a refund.

Limitation of liability

DesignPass provides educational content for informational purposes. We don't guarantee any specific outcome from attending sessions or applying what you learn. To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim arising from your use of DesignPass is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages things like lost profits, lost data, or missed opportunities even if we were aware such damages were possible.

Governing law

Any disputes arising from your use of DesignPass will be resolved under the laws of the applicable jurisdiction. If we can't resolve a dispute informally, we'd prefer to handle it through mediation before any formal legal process. We're a small team if something's wrong, please just email us first.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use DesignPass after that point means you accept the updated terms.
